1) How long until I receive my parts ?
To best answer this question, here is a brief outline of how we handle orders….
Generally, we check in the days orders by about 8 AM Eastern Time (orders received AFTER 8 AM will be looked at the FOLLOWING business day.
Assuming, everything is “OK ” with the order, parts are generally custom machined in 3 business days (If we have to write out for additional information the order will be delayed for additional time…for best service please always include a phone number with your order (when paying with Pay Pal, this is done in the “notes” section “or “comments to seller” section).
Phone calls are faster and easier for us to make and result in overall faster service than emails…of course it is best to have all the proper / needed info from the start but we understand that things do happen so we will work with you to help ensure the best possible service and speed in manufacturing.
Depending on the time of day when your sprocket is completed…they will generally ship out the same day the machining / anodizing is done….The only reason it would not go out the same day the sprocket is completed is if the postal carrier and / or UPS has already run for the day (generally the mail carrier makes it here about 3 PM / UPS typically shows up about 4 PM….If the work on your order is completed AFTER 4 PM, your shipment will be sent out the following business day (FWIW – we typically work until about 8 PM Eastern Time).
Generally packages are sent out via USPS Flat rate envelope or UPS ground.
Typically shipping to CA / AK / And HI takes about 4 business days….Foreign / international orders typically run about 7 to 10 business days travel time.
2) Can color anodizing be done over Hard Coat ?
Hard coating has an antique “brass / bronze” color to it….while it does add an additional wear barrier and helps your sprocket to last up to about 40% longer than a non hard coated sprocket, color anodizing can NOT be done in addition to Hard Coating.
3) Do you currently have dealers close to me that sell your sprockets?
Currently we do not have any “formal” dealers set up but we do have several websites that carry our products on a drop ship basis (i.e. you order from their website(s) but we ship the order for them from our shop).
We are currently in the the process of setting up strategically placed stocking dealers so that are products are located closer to you to reduce shipping times. Ultimately we would like to have several a stocking dealers located in different regions of the US to speed order shipping times.
We are also in the process of setting up dealers in other countries to save on both shipping time and international shipping costs.
4) Other than Super Sprockets, what else do you sell?
Currently, we mainly sell our our Super Sprockets for all sprocket applications and our Top Hat Sprocket Adapters.
In the near future, we will be selling our Triple Play Maxi Brake braking system (we are currently in the process of patenting the system before we begin marketing and selling the product…..Finally, THE BEST and SAFEST Brakes! Suddenly, disc brakes may become obsolete!
We have also been entertaining the idea of bringing back our Power Pipe ( Tuned pipe ).
There have been a lot of inquiries for the Power Pipe but it really took us a long time to manufacture each pipe so we suspended sales of this item. However, we may bring the Power Pipe back in “kit” form ( final welding / minor assembly) to be done by the end user (Any local muffler shop can do the needed welding for final fit if you are not able to weld)….Truly the best power enhancer there is !
5) If I need a sprocket for a specific application how do I let you know?
If you have not already noticed, our ordering section (right most column of the home page on our web site) is somewhat “generic”…….It is set up so you can order one of 3 basic items : Basic Sprockets (basically a “brush” finish NON color anodized sprocket, Our Anodized Sprockets (i.e. colored sprockets), and our Top Hat Sprocket Adapters.
Because we make sprockets for most any application, it would be very difficult to have drop down menus for every possible sprocket that can be made so we basically rely on you to let us know what you need or want.
Other than choosing the basics such as anodized or non-anodized sprockets and the number of teeth you’d like, you must let us know what the sprocket is for so we can make it correctly….If you don’t specify the sprocket use in the notes section of your Pay Pal Payment (or other form of payment), we will by default make you our standard motorized bike sprocket (the only reason we chose this as our default sprocket is because that is the sprocket we first made when starting in the custom sprocket manufacturing). Examples of what you could say in the notes section may include but are not limited to: This sprocket is for a CAG Pocket bike, This sprocket is for a Manic Mechanic Hub Adapter, This sprocket is for a Sick Bike Parts Shift Kit Chain ring, This sprocket if for a Grubee hub, This sprocket is for a 1977 YZ 250 Etc Etc…).
If you forget to add a comment or note in the actual payment as to what the sprocket is for, you run the risk of us making the incorrect sprocket since we use the payment page as our “order form”….Separate notes, emails, or phone calls may not be linked to your order in time prior to your sprocket being made so it is VERY important for us to have all the needed info together and we have found that the notes section in your payment is best for this….If you do not include all the needed info in one spot (i.e. with your payment in the notes or comments to seller section) and we make your order incorrectly, we cannot be responsible for that nor can we issue any refunds since we machine time and materials have to be paid for.
In summary PLEASE be sure to leave notes in the notes section of your payment….IF not, we will assume you are ordering a standard motorized bike sprocket and no refunds or exchanges can be done if this is not what you wanted…notes can be very important.
6) I’ve heard rumors of you soon to be released braking system for bikes….when will this become available?
Because this product will revolutionize braking performance for bicycles, we felt that it would be necessary to file / apply for a patent before we start marketing our braking system….The process of getting a patent is a somewhat slow and tedious process but we hope to release it within the next few months. The best brakes are coming soon!
Stay tuned….the best parts are still to come!
